Do you have an idea that will save energy? Here's how to turn it into a project on OurJoules.
STEP 1: Select a title for your project. The title should succinctly describe your project. For example, "Wind turbine for backyard" is a great title. "Amy's Sweet Project" is not so good.
STEP 2: Choose the category that your project falls under.
STEP 3: Upload a picture that represents your project. If you want a wind turbine, you could use a picture of the turbine from the vendor's website. Or if you want to weather-strip your doors, you could take a picture of the gap under your door.
STEP 4: Figure out how much your project will cost. This number should be as accurate as possible. If you want something shipped to your house, include the cost of shipping in this figure.
STEP 5: Describe your project. This is where you can really make a case for your project. Ideally your description will include information about how much energy your project will save. If there are many similar products on the market (e.g. wind turbines) explain why the one you've picked is best for your needs.
STEP 6: Provide vendor information. Not all fields are required here, but make sure we have enough information so that OurJoules can contact and pay your vendor once your project is fully funded.
